Allow me to Chime in.

Haaaaave you met Ted? Ehm, ehm, Chime?

I'm not sure if you've heard, but IMDb (which is now owned by Amazon) is now offering access for the IMDbPro members to their conferencing software and chat messaging called CHIME.

In these days I think everyone has heard of Zoom conferencing mainly because they have a free tier and have been popularized by schools. Then Microsoft came out with their free version in a more secure platform, but Chime, which has been around since 2017, did very little about advertising or offerings of any sorts.

Well, until now...

If you're an IMDbPro user, click here to gain access to their premium features for free, which include:

  • 16 video participants
  • 250 attendees
  • unlimited meeting that last up to 24 hours
  • screen sharing
  • meeting recording
  • and I'll repeat this one again - free for IMDbPro users

It has all the bells and whistles all the other apps have and more. There's a recording functionality, you can mute people, there's chat, scheduling and not only you can share your screen or window, if you are sharing your full screen, someone can request control of your computer and move stuff on your desktop. It's cool, I've never seen the feature before that showed multiple cursors with names attached to them so you know who's cursor is whose.

So if you're planning a networking meetup or a table read and you don't feel like paying for Zoom... Consider Chime.
